Ice-Breakers to say on a first date if you've never met someone before:

In person at a bar, a coffee shop line up, cafe:

You seem to really be enjoying that drink. What's your poison and why is it your favourite? Do you prefer beer or wine? Either way, I'm buying the next one. They say you can learn a lot about someone based on the kind of coffee they drink. How do you take your coffee and what table are we sitting at?

A great way to break the ice with someone at a bar or coffee shop is to notice what they're drinking and work in a conversation about their beverage choice. If you create an opening and have the budget to buy them a drink, this is a great way to show you're very interested in spending more time with this person.

Online with an interesting photo

I really like your profile photo (or Profile pic #2). It tells me you have impeccable taste and we should be dating. So where should we meet? You had me at profile pic #3. Your smile paired with my eyes and personality are a great match. Why don't we introduce the rest of ourselves together?

These ice breakers online indicate you're intrigued with them and that you're serious enough to meet up in person. You mean business and you're not afraid to take the lead when it comes to setting up a date.

Commenting on photo, looks or fashion.

O.K, your outfit totally matches with one of mine. Where did you get it and when are we wedding crashing together? I love your fashion sense. Have you ever considered working as a stylist? I can be your first customer. Should we talk about it over drinks?

All too often you make the mistake of complimenting someones obvious physical good looks. Stand out and compliment their style, their swagger, their shoes, earrings, jacket or whatever really gave you a positive first impression. Attractive men and women are generally complimented by their obvious good looks. Incorporating witty, unique and flattering compliments about something unique will make a much better impression!
